The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSYA) is pleased to announce that Cabinet has agreed to the establishment of a Steering Committee to facilitate the transition of the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SporTT) to the Sports Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (SCOTT).

The Steering Committee will provide expert advice to advance the strategic and operational imperative for effecting the transition and will develop a detailed road map and implementation framework to realise the establishment of the SCOTT.

The Steering Committee was installed on 14th November, 2017. Its membership is as follows:

The MSYA considers that the outputs from this exercise will lend themselves to an enhanced governance framework and institutional arrangements for the delivery of services in the Sport Sector, with attendant benefits to accrue for the Sport Tourism product, high performance sport and total participation by all.
