Sport National Governing Bodies
Most sports in Trinidad and Tobago are governed by a national representative body, which is affiliated to an international body. For example, the National Governing Body (NGB) for football is the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, which is affiliated to FIFA.
NGBs are responsible for the administration of the sport/discipline in the country, including development and community activities, coach development, and elite athlete identification and grooming. NGBs are the local repository for all information about a particular sport.
NGBs can fall either under the purview of the Ministry of Sport or the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago
