Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Phillip Watts, together with representatives of the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) and the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA), recently met with His Excellency Víctor Hugo Morales Meléndez, Ambassador of Mexico to Trinidad and Tobago, and members of his team at the Diplomatic Centre, St. Clair.

The meeting focused on opportunities for collaboration between Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico to strengthen football development at the primary and secondary school levels, while advancing coach education and capacity-building initiatives.

As discussions continue among the relevant stakeholders, Minister Watts and Ambassador Morales Meléndez have expressed their shared commitment to establishing a committee to identify priority areas, explore opportunities for collaboration, and develop a short-term action plan.
