The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs extends sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Lennox Sirjuesingh, a distinguished football administrator, former FIFA referee, educator and community leader.
For 25 years, Sirjuesingh served the beautiful game with distinction, making history as the first Caribbean referee appointed to a CONMEBOL tournament and the first Caribbean referee to officiate at a World Tournament at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Beyond football, his remarkable 41-year contribution to education, community development and national service left an enduring impact on Trinidad and Tobago.
A recipient of the Medal of Merit (1999), Sirjuesingh’s legacy of service, leadership and dedication will long be remembered.
May his soul rest in peace. 🕊️
