The Honourable Phillip Watts, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, attended the closing ceremony and certificate presentation of the UCI Solidarity Training Camp at the National Cycling Velodrome in Balmain, Couva, reaffirming Government’s commitment to athlete development, regional cooperation, and investment in sport.

In his remarks, Minister Watts said, “𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. He also commended the cyclists, coaches, technical officials, and organisers for the successful staging of the camp, which brought together participants from Belize, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Dominica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
