The Geriatric Adolescent Partnership Programme (GAPP) is a programme under the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs that provides training for young persons between the age of 18–35 years, to enable them to provide geriatric home care and companionship for elderly citizens.
Any male or female national of Trinidad & Tobago, 18–35 years old, who meet the requirements.

Applications are ongoing, and can be submitted at any time.
Eligible recommenders include Ministers of Religion, MPs, Mayors, Notaries, Senior Public Servants, Police/Fire/Prison Officers, Defence Force members, Principals, Teachers, Chairmen, and CEOs. All recommenders must be non-relatives.
Placement as a caregiver, is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm (except public holidays).
The caregiver is responsible for providing the requisite geriatric services in relation to the client’s needs.
Caregivers are selected based on requisite qualifications, interview and assessment.
No one can apply on behalf of someone interested in being a caregiver.
Caregivers are paid a stipend on a monthly basis.
Each caregiver is obligated to provide the service for a period of six (6) months in the first instance.
As a caregiver, your service can be extended, with a satisfactory appraisal.
A caregiver is only allowed to care for one elderly client per home. Your priority as a caregiver is to care for the client you are assigned to.
Caregivers are placed within close proximity, based on the availability of clients.
